X-Women Curling to compete at U SPORTS Championship
X-Women Curling will be competing at the 2025 U SPORTS Curling Championship February 24-28 at the Lethbridge Curling Club
The STFX X-Women Curling team will be competing at the 2025 U SPORTS Curling Championship from February 24-28 at the Lethbridge Curling Club in Lethbridge, Alberta.
The eight-team event features two teams from each of the four U SPORTS regional conferences (Canada West, OUA, RSEQ and AUS) in a round robin draw that sees everyone play seven matches.
The X-Women team consists of lead Ace MacDonald (Halifax, NS), second Natalie MacKinnon (Truro, NS), third/mate Deidra Fraser (Mabou, NS), skip Abbygail Rafuse (Bridgewater, NS), and fifth/alternate Hanna Manthorne (Seal Harbour, NS). Nick Deagle serves as head coach of the X-Women who were 2025 AUS finalists.
The round robin action takes place Monday through Thursday, February 24-27 with the top four teams advancing to the semifinals Friday, February 28 at 9:30 am MST. The medal games are scheduled for Friday at 2:30 pm MST.
All matches will be live streamed on the Curling Canada YouTube channel, with live results posted on the Curling Canada website.
