MacDonald Chrysler wins Kehoe Golf Classic for third consecutive year
The 32nd edition of the STFX Father Kehoe Golf Classic took place Friday, August 22nd at the Antigonish Golf Club. A field of 35 teams of 140 golfers participated in the four-person scramble, which honors the legacy of STFX alumnus and former athlete, coach and Athletic Director Father George Kehoe
Antigonish, NS - The 32nd edition of the STFX Father Kehoe Golf Classic took place Friday, August 22nd at the Antigonish Golf Club. A field of 35 teams of 140 golfers participated in the four-person scramble, which honors the legacy of STFX alumnus and former athlete, coach and Athletic Director Father George Kehoe, in addition to raising funds for scholarships for STFX student-athletes.
MacDonald Chrysler won top low gross honors (51) as the tournament champions, taking home the MacDonald Chisholm Insurance Trophy. The team consisted of David MacDonald, Craig MacDonald, Jason Brown and Sasho MacKenzie. It marked the third consecutive year that MacDonald Chrysler were tournament champions, this summer setting a new Kehoe Golf Classic tournament record with their score of -21.
The tournament runner up with a second low gross score of 55 was Team MacKay, whose team members included Justin MacKay, Kevin Sherren, Brendan Chisholm and Ryan Benson.
The recipients of the Irene McFarland Memorial trophy for the top low net score (44.75) in the tournament was the Cleve's/Under Armour team, consisting of Ben Taylor, Jason MacKinnon, Brian MacDonald and Mark DeYoung.
The Fore Guys took home second low net honors (47.25) with team members consisting of Ralph Redden, Sebastian Harenberg, Andrew Heighton and Ryan Seaward.
Longtime STFX supporter and Hall of Famer Bill Kiely was the honourary starter for the 2025 tournament.
