X-Men fall to Huskies in opening game of Dalhousie Shoveller tourney

In the tip off game for the 27th annual Rod and Joan Shoveller Memorial Tournament, the Saint Mary?s Huskies took on the StFX X-Men at the Dalplex. The Huskies opened the game with hot shooting, and it carried them throughout to take the 87-53 victory.

Tigers sweep home-and-home series with X-Men

The Dalhousie Tigers (4-2) defeated the StFX X-Men (2-3) by an 89-70 score Saturday afternoon at the Oland Centre, completing a home-and-home sweep this week, having previously beaten the same X-Men squad Wednesday night in Halifax.

X-Men basketball team preview

After leading the team to the brink of an AUS championship last season, gone are four starters and eight players in total, including former All-Canadian Kevin Bercy and AUS all-star Julius Antoine. Bercy has continued his outstanding career playing professionally in Spain. This year’s squad might be the youngest in Coach Steve Konchalski’s 44 years at StFX, with seven freshmen and an average age of less than 20 years.
