Grumbach sets STFX single game 3FG record as X-Men outpace Axemen 116-70

The U SPORTS No. 5 ranked STFX X-Men won their fourth consecutive game with a 116-70 victory over the Acadia Axemen Tuesday night on Coach K Court at the Saputo Centre. The game marked the annual Coach K Challenge, a game played between the X-Men and Axemen in honour of former long-time X-Men head coach and Acadia alumnus Steve Konchalski.

X-Men handle Axemen 95-74

In their final home game of the season, the Acadia Axemen were defeated by the AUS first-place STFX X-Men 95–74. David Muenkat (Brampton, Ont.) led the way for the X-Men, earning the title of Subway Player of the Game.

X-Men earn decisive win over Huskies in opening game of DAL tourney

The STFX X-Men defeated the Saint Mary’s Huskies 124-78 in Game 1 of the Dalhousie Shoveller Tournament Thursday afternoon. With the win the X-Men advance to the semifinal game Friday night at 6:00 pm.

The STFX X Men dropped the Cape Breton Capers 90-58 on Sunday afternoon on Coach K Court at the Saputo Centre. It was the fourth win in a row for the X-Men, who remain undefeated in AUS regular season play.

The STFX X-Men were in Ontario this past weekend for a trio of pre-season exhibition games. The blue and white went 2-1 with a 94-87 win over Laurier, 85-73 loss to McMaster, and an 81-74 win over Guelph.
