STFX X-Men Basketball head coach Tyrell Vernon has been named the head coach of the Calgary Surge of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) for the upcoming summer season.

X-Men Basketball guard Dondre Reddick was selected in the first round - ninth overall - in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) by the Calgary Surge, while guard Koat Thomas was drafted 15th overall by the Scarborough Shooting Stars.

X-Men guard Dondre Reddick was honoured as a U SPORTS second team All-Canadian, while freshman guard Koat Thomas was named to the U SPORTS all-rookie team.
