StFX striker Dan Hayfield was honoured with the Joe Johnson Memorial Trophy as U SPORTS men’s soccer Player of the Year Wednesday night, as the national award winners were celebrated at the annual All-Canadian gala.

On seniors’ day at StFX, the StFX X-Men and Dalhousie Tigers played out an enthralling encounter with only one goal able to separate the sides, a Dan Hayfield (Exeter, UK) goal from the penalty spot in the 88th minute.

The StFX X-Men maintained their position of second place in the AUS conference with a 4-0 shutout victory over the visiting Mount Allison Mounties on a chilly Saturday afternoon.

Dan Hayfield (Exeter, UK) scored his AUS leading ninth goal of the year in StFX’s 1-0 win over the Saint Mary’s Huskies on Sunday afternoon from Huskies Stadium.
