StFX University's X-Women basketball program is proud to announce that two of its promising up-and-comers, Abby Cameron and Abby Mercer, are representing the Lake City 56ers in the Maritime Women's Basketball Association (MWBA) this summer.

Avery Walker was honoured as the AUS award nominee for the U SPORTS Tracy MacLeod award, while Ekaterina Karchevskaya earned AUS second team all-star status and Shannon Neita was named to the AUS all-rookie team.

For the first time since the 2013-2014 season, the STFX X-Women basketball team is heading to the six-team Atlantic University Sport playoffs, thanks to a 78-65 win over the Cape Breton Capers on Saturday evening on Coach K Court in Antigonish.

Axewomen top X-Women in midweek game

The Acadia Axewomen extended their win streak to four games with a 68-52 victory over the STFX X-Women Wednesday night on Coach K Court at the STFX Saputo Centre. The win also avenged an earlier 76-65 loss to the same X squad in Wolfville earlier this month.

Led by a monster performance from versatile forward Ekaterina Karchevskaya (Mogilev, BY), the visiting STFX X-Women (6-8) scored an impressive 77-60 victory over the rival Cape Breton University (CBU) Capers (5-10) in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) basketball action on Friday evening at Sullivan Fieldhouse.

Huskies earn victory over X-Women

The Saint Mary's Huskies earned a decisive 76-60 win over the STFX X-Women on Coach K Court on Wednesday night in AUS women's basketball action. The Huskies picked up 50 rebounds on the night, while shooting 31 per cent from beyond the arc, netting 13 three-pointers.

Panthers win another close game over X-Women

The UPEI Panthers made it two close wins in a row, dropping the STFX X-Women 57-55 on Sunday afternoon on Coach K Court. The Panthers are now 8-7 on the season, while the X-Women are 5-9.

X-Women comeback falls just short against Panthers

The UPEI Panthers came out strong early and held on for an exciting 51-48 win over the STFX X-Women in AUS basketball action Saturday evening on Coach K Court. With the win, the Panthers snapped a four-game losing streak while putting an end to a three-game win streak for the X-Women. The win also pulled the Panthers ahead of the X-Women in the AUS standings.

The StFX X-Women snapped Acadia’s three-game win streak on Saturday night as they walked away with a 76-65 victory in front of over 600 fans at Stu Aberdeen Court.

The STFX X-Women made it two wins in a row with a hard fought 76-69 victory over the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Saturday night on Coach K Court. With the win, STFX’s record on the season is now 4-6, giving them the most wins they've had in a season since 2015-2016.

Ekaterina Karchevskaya (Mogilev, BY) put up 18 points and five rebounds as the STFX X-Women basketball team picked up their third victory of the season with a 67-53 win over the Memorial Sea-Hawks on Friday evening at Coach K Court.

The STFX X-Women played a trio of exhibition games at the Laval Rouge et Or Tournament in Quebec City at PEPS. The X-Women had a 0-3 record, dropping games to Laval, Windsor and Guelph.
