Atlantic University Sport released the 2017 fall sports schedules today, including women’s rugby, men’s and women’s soccer as well as men’s and women’s cross country. Hosts for the 2017 fall championships were also confirmed.

The No. 4 seeded StFX X-Women knocked off the No. 1 seeded Cape Breton Capers with a 1-0 victory in Subway AUS semifinal action Friday night at CBU Field. The X-Women needed penalty kicks to seal the victory after the teams played 120 minutes of scoreless soccer.

X-Women midfielder Mercy Myles was honored as an AUS first team all-star at Thursday's championship awards brunch, while midfielder Alix Bruch and striker Chloe Brennan were named AUS second team all-stars.

The No. 4 StFX X-Women defeated the No. 5 UNB Varsity Reds 2-1 in the second quarterfinal game of the Subway AUS Women’s Championship late Thursday night at CBU Field. The game featured some great defensive tactics and limited scoring chances.

The 2016 Subway AUS Women’s Soccer Championship will be hosted by Cape Breton University at CBU Field in Sydney, N.S. Nov. 3 to 6, 2016.

The Cape Breton Capers took care of business on a rainy Saturday afternoon at CBU field, defeating the StFX X-Women 3-1 to lock up first place and a bye in the upcoming AUS playoffs.

The StFX X-Women (7-1-4) ended their regular season home schedule with a 3-1 victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies (0-12) in AUS soccer action Wednesday evening at StFX Stadium.
