2019 StFX X-Women Soccer News

Atlantic University Sport released the 2020 fall sports schedules today, including women’s rugby, men’s football, men’s and women’s soccer as well as men’s and women’s cross country. Hosts for the 2020 fall championships were also confirmed.
StFX X-Women Soccer head coach Graham Kennedy is pleased to announce the 2020 recruiting class. Joining the X-Women program will be goalkeeper Jordyn Pratt, defender Cassidy Byrne, and forward Lauren Seamone.

X-Women striker Amanda Smith was named a U SPORTS first team All-Canadian at the awards gala Wednesday in conjunction with the national championship, while midfielder Mercy Myles was honoured as a second team All-Canadian.

The StFX X-Women had three athletes receive AUS first team all-star status - Larissa White, Mercy Myles and Amanda Smith - along with head coach Graham Kennedy being honoured as the AUS Coach of the Year.

The schedule for the 2019 Subway AUS Soccer Championships in Sydney has been released. The X-Women will play Memorial in the quarterfinals Thursday, Oct. 31st at 4:30 pm. The X-Men received a bye into the semifinals and will play the winner of UPEI-UNB on Friday, Nov. 1st at 7:00 pm.
The Acadia Axewomen and the StFX X-Women both finish the season undefeated in the final regular season game as they tied each other 0-0 on Friday night.
In StFX’s final regular season home game and senior day, the StFX X-Women and Memorial Sea-Hawks battled to a 2-2 draw Sunday afternoon.

The StFX X-Women defeated the U SPORTS No. 3 ranked Cape Breton Capers by a 3-2 score Friday night in AUS action in a close game.
The St. Francis Xavier X-Women came out on top of the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues by a 2-0 score Thursday evening in Atlantic University Sport soccer action at Stade Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium.

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon the StFX X-Women defeated the Mount Allison Mounties by a score of 5-0 on Homecoming weekend.
The Université de Moncton Aigles-Bleues and the StFX X-Women battled to a nil-nil draw Sunday afternoon.

The StFX X-Women defeated the Saint Mary’s Huskies Friday evening by a 5-0 score on the strength of an Amanda Smith hat-trick.

The UNB Reds and StFX X-Women played to a 3-3 draw, Sunday afternoon at UNB’s BMO Centre.

The StFX X-Women played a hard fought game Saturday afternoon against the Mount Allison Mounties but ended the day with a scoreless 0-0 draw.

Late heroics from the StFX X-Women resulted in a 2-1 victory over the Dalhousie Tigers Sunday afternoon at Wickwire Field. The win improves the X-Women record to 3-0 early in the AUS season.
The StFX X-Women picked up their second win of the weekend with a 1-0 victory over the UNB Reds Sunday afternoon.
