X-Men run to 15th place finish at U SPORTS championship
X-Men place 15th overall in the team standings at the U SPORTS national championship race hosted by UBC Okanagan
Kelowna, BC – The STFX X-Men placed 15th overall in the team standings at the U SPORTS national championship race hosted by UBC Okanagan.
The Queens Gaels were the U SPORTS champions, garnering 94 points. Sherbrooke was second with 130 and Laval third at 145. A total of 22 schools registered team results amongst the 152 individual competitors.
The top runner for the X-Men was Liam McCullagh in 36th place, finishing with a time of 24:23.
The overall race winner was Philippe Morneau-Cartier from Laval, finishing with a time of 23:19. UNB's Jared Howse was second at 23:25 and Regina's Jonathan Podbielski was third at 23:32. Former X-Men runner and currently with Dalhousie Jacob Benoit came fifth overall at 23:35, just edged off the podium in the final stretch.
Rounding out the results for the X-Men were:
